About Me

My name is Cat Smit. I'm a Certified Functional Medicine Health Coach with Psychological Training.

I was registered and practicing as a psychologist but left the workforce due to chronic illness and later retrained as a holistic health coach.

Many Years of Experience

My passion is to facilitate transformation in people who long to be the best version of themselves and function optimally in all areas of their lives. I co-create with clients a safe space where we find openings to move forward out of limitations - both physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.

These include visualisation, mental rehearsal, mindfulness, guided meditation, fostering acceptance and acting in accordance with one's values, which together help increase psychological flexibility and resilience.

I support clients in their own self-directed health and wellness journeys or I can partner with health practitioners to help implement the prescribed lifestyle changes. I offer both one on one and small group health coaching. I work both online and in person.

I bring a toolbox of coaching, mindfulness based counselling and neuroplasticity (rewiring the brain) based techniques.
